Once your screening is live, you need candidates to complete it. Here's how to share your Truffle screening link across every major channel — job boards, your career site, email, and more.
Every screening you create in Truffle generates a unique link. Anyone with the link can start the screening. You'll find it on your job dashboard or on the activation page after publishing.
Indeed
Indeed restricts external links in job postings. Posts that include redirect URLs may be suppressed or removed from search results. Because of this, don't paste your Truffle link directly into an Indeed job description.
Instead, use Truffle as the next step after candidates apply on Indeed:
Post your job on Indeed as normal — let candidates apply through Indeed's standard process.
When applications come in, email candidates your Truffle screening link as a follow-up. You can use the email template below or send it through your ATS.
Frame it as part of your process: "Thanks for applying! The next step is a quick screening that takes about 10 minutes — complete it anytime from your phone or computer."
This keeps your Indeed posting compliant while still getting every applicant into Truffle for screening.
Tip: If you use an ATS that integrates with Indeed, you can automate this step with Zapier — trigger a Truffle invite whenever a new candidate enters your pipeline. See Connect Truffle to your ATS for setup instructions.
LinkedIn is more flexible with links. You have two good options:
Add your link to a job posting
When creating or editing a LinkedIn job post, paste your Truffle screening link into the job description. Add a line like:
To apply, complete a quick screening here: [your Truffle link]
Candidates can click the link directly from the job listing.
Share in a LinkedIn post or message
If you're promoting a role through a LinkedIn post or sending it to candidates via InMail, include your Truffle link with a short note explaining the process:
We're hiring a [Role Title]. Complete a quick 10-minute screening on your own time — no scheduling needed: [your Truffle link]
This works well for reaching passive candidates or sharing roles within your network.
Your career site
Embed your Truffle screening link directly on your careers page. You can:
Link from an "Apply Now" button that sends candidates to your Truffle screening
Add the link alongside a job description on your careers page
Use it as the primary application method — candidates go straight from your site into the screening
If you have multiple open roles, each one generates its own Truffle link, so you can add the right link to each job listing.
Email existing applicants
Already have candidates in your pipeline? Send them your Truffle screening link by email. Truffle includes a ready-to-send email template you can copy — just expand the "Email your current applicants" section on the activation page after publishing your screening.
Here's a template you can customize:
Subject: Next step in your application — [Company Name]
Hi [First Name],
Thanks for your interest in the [Role Title] position at [Company Name].
The next step is a quick screening that takes about 10 minutes. You can complete it anytime from your phone or computer — no scheduling needed. It's the same experience for every candidate.
Complete your screening here: [your Truffle link]
Once you're done, our team will review your responses and be in touch about next steps.
Thanks, [Your Name]
Invite specific candidates from Truffle
If you have individual candidates you'd like to screen, you can invite them directly from within Truffle:
Open your job in Truffle
Click "Invite specific candidates"
Enter their name and email address
Truffle sends a tracked invitation with a link to complete the screening
This is useful when you're reaching out to candidates individually — from a resume database, a referral, or a sourcing list. You'll be able to see who's been invited and who's completed their screening. See Invite candidates to complete your Truffle screening for more detail.
Social media and other channels
Your Truffle screening link works anywhere you can share a URL:
Facebook or Instagram job posts
X (Twitter) posts
WhatsApp or text messages to candidates
Slack or Teams channels for internal referrals
QR codes on flyers, posters, or event materials (generate a QR code from your screening link using any free QR code tool)
Connect your ATS
If you're using an applicant tracking system, you can automate candidate invites so that applicants flow into Truffle automatically. This is especially useful when paired with Indeed — candidates apply through Indeed into your ATS, then get automatically invited to complete a Truffle screening.
Truffle integrates through Zapier (for most ATS platforms) and a REST API (for custom setups).
What happens after candidates complete their screening
As candidates finish, Truffle processes their responses and generates results within minutes. You'll see:
Summaries of each candidate's responses
Match scores based on your role criteria
Candidate shorts — highlight reels of key moments based on job relevance, with reasoning for each clip
The more candidates who complete the screening, the more useful your match scores and comparisons become. For best results, aim for at least 10 completed screenings per role.

Tips for getting candidates to complete the screening
Set expectations upfront. Tell candidates the screening takes about 10 minutes and can be done from any device, anytime.
Send it early. The sooner candidates receive the link after applying, the higher the completion rate.
Use reminders. Truffle can automatically send reminders to candidates who haven't finished. See Send reminders to candidates with incomplete screenings.
Keep it short. 3-5 questions is the sweet spot for completion rates.
Frame it positively. Candidates respond well to messaging like "complete on your own time" and "it's the same experience for every candidate."
