Share candidate screening generates a secure, read-only link that lets anyone view a candidate's interview responses, AI summary, and match score without logging into Truffle. Use these links to collaborate with stakeholders, share shortlists with clients, or add context to your ATS notes.
You can add optional password protection for extra security when sharing sensitive candidate information.
This article explains what's included in shared links, how to create and manage them, and best practices for using them effectively.
What's included in shared links
When you share a candidate interview, viewers see:
AI candidate summary highlighting key traits and role alignment
Candidate shorts with video highlights and key moments
Match percentage with transparent scoring explanations
Qualification checks showing pass/fail results (if qualification questions are enabled)
Video responses with full transcripts
What stays private
These details remain hidden from shared link viewers:
Contact information (email and phone number)
Resume
Internal team notes and ratings
Important: Shared links are read-only. Viewers cannot edit candidate information, add notes, or change statuses.
Create a share link
Open the candidate profile you want to share.
Click Share on the candidate page.
Review what's included and excluded in the shared view.
(Optional) Add a password in the Password field for extra security.
Click Generate link.
Click Copy and paste the link where you need it.
If you added a password, make sure to share it separately with the people who need access to the link.
You'll see the exact expiry date on the confirmation screen. Links automatically expire after 75 days.
Manage shared links
Revoke a link
If you need to disable access to a shared link:
Open the candidate profile.
Click Share.
Click Revoke link to disable access immediately.
Once revoked, anyone with that link will no longer be able to view the candidate profile.
Generate a new link
If you need a fresh link after revoking one:
Open the candidate profile.
Click Share.
Click Generate link again.
The new link will have a new expiration date and can be shared separately from any previously created links.
Best practices
Align quickly on top candidates
Share links with hiring managers or team members who don't have Truffle accounts. This helps everyone review candidates and provide feedback without switching between systems.
Protect candidate privacy
For recruiting agencies, share candidate shortlists with clients while keeping personal contact information hidden. This lets clients evaluate candidates without accessing sensitive data.
Use password protection when sharing particularly sensitive candidate information or when sending links through less secure channels.
Keep context together
Add share links to your ATS notes, Slack threads, or email discussions. This keeps hiring decisions and candidate context in one place for your team.
Tip: Use share links to get quick feedback on whether a candidate deserves a live interview before moving them further in your process.
