Two ways to invite candidates
Option 1: Use your share link (recommended)
The share link is one URL that works everywhere. Candidates click it and start recording immediately. No personal information needed upfront.
Best for:
Job boards (Indeed, LinkedIn, Glassdoor).
Your careers page.
Social media posts.
Employee referral programs.
High-volume hiring.
Get your share link
Navigate to your interview in Truffle.
Click Invite candidates.
Select the Share link tab.
Click Copy to copy the URL to your clipboard.
Paste the link anywhere you advertise the role.
Note: The link stays active while your interview status is Open. Set the interview to Closed or Inactive to disable the link instantly.
Where to use your share link
Job boards: Paste into the "How to Apply" field on Indeed, LinkedIn, ZipRecruiter, Monster, or niche boards.
Careers page: Add directly to job postings or create a simple table linking each role to its interview.
Social media: Share in LinkedIn posts, Instagram bios, or Facebook job posts.
Internal channels: Drop into Slack, Microsoft Teams, or employee newsletters.
Physical locations: Create a QR code for in-store posters or flyers.
Option 2: Send direct invites
Send personalized email invitations straight from Truffle. Perfect for sourced candidates or when you need to track individual progress.
Best for:
Reaching out to passive candidates.
Agency-submitted applicants.
Small, curated candidate lists.
Following up with past applicants.
Send a direct invite
Navigate to your interview in Truffle.
Click Invite candidates.
Select the Direct invite tab.
Enter the candidate's first name, last name, and email.
Click Send invitation.
Candidates receive a branded email with your interview link and deadline. Truffle automatically sends reminders 48 hours and 4 hours before the deadline.
Note: Free trial accounts can send up to 5 direct invites. Upgrade for unlimited sends.
Best practices for higher completion rates
Set clear expectations: Tell candidates how long the interview takes (typically 5 to 15 minutes).
Explain the format: Let them know it's a one-way video interview they can complete on their own time.
Include technical tips: Recommend using Chrome or Safari on a stable connection.
Add a deadline: Create gentle urgency with a clear due date.
Make it mobile-friendly: Confirm candidates can use their phone if needed.
