The typical workflow looks like this:

Truffle screens them — candidates receive your screening link and complete it on their own time
Results are ready in minutes — you get summaries, match scores, and candidate shorts in Truffle
You review and decide — use Truffle's results to build your shortlist, then continue the process in your ATS
You can trigger the Truffle screening manually (by sharing the link or inviting candidates from Truffle) or automate it with Zapier so that candidates are invited the moment they enter a specific stage in your ATS.
Option 1: Zapier (recommended for most teams)
Zapier is the fastest way to connect Truffle to your ATS. No code required.
Truffle's Zapier integration supports two key actions:
Invite Candidate — automatically send a Truffle screening invite when a candidate reaches a specific stage in your ATS
Screening Completed — trigger a follow-up action in your ATS (or Slack, email, Google Sheets, etc.) when a candidate finishes their Truffle screening
Common workflows
ATS stage change → Truffle invite. When a candidate moves to "Screening" in your ATS, Zapier invites them to complete a Truffle screening automatically.
Screening completed → Slack alert. Get a notification in your hiring channel the moment a candidate finishes.
Screening completed → ATS stage update. Automatically advance candidates in your ATS after they complete their Truffle screening.
Screening completed → email next steps. Send candidates an automated follow-up after they finish.

Which ATS platforms work with Zapier?
Zapier supports hundreds of ATS platforms including Greenhouse, Lever, Workable, BambooHR, JazzHR, Breezy HR, Recruitee, and many more. If your ATS has a Zapier integration, it can connect to Truffle.
Option 2: REST API (for custom integrations)
If you need deeper control or your ATS doesn't support Zapier, Truffle's REST API lets you build a custom integration. The API supports:
Inviting candidates to specific screenings
Retrieving screening results and candidate data
Webhooks for real-time notifications when screenings are completed
The API is best suited for teams with a developer available to build and maintain the integration.

No problem. Truffle works as a standalone screening tool — just share your screening link directly with candidates via job boards, email, or your career site. Truffle includes built-in candidate management with tags, notes, status tracking, and CSV export.
