Every candidate who completes your Truffle application gets a dedicated candidate profile. This profile gives you a structured workspace to review AI-powered insights, watch video highlights, evaluate qualifications, collaborate with your team, and make hiring decisions quickly.
This article explains what you'll find in each candidate profile and how to use it effectively.
What's in a candidate profile
Each candidate profile has four tabs that organize all the information you need to make informed hiring decisions.
Overview tab
The Overview tab gives you AI-powered analysis and video highlights to quickly evaluate candidates.
Candidate summary
The Candidate summary section provides AI-powered analysis of the candidate's responses. You'll see a brief paragraph summarizing the candidate's key strengths and how they align with your role.
Below the summary, the Key insights section breaks down the candidate's fit across specific criteria you've set for the role. Common criteria include:
Intent: The candidate's motivation for applying and alignment with your company's mission
Detail oriented: How the candidate demonstrates attention to detail and thoroughness
Self-awareness: The candidate's understanding of their strengths and areas for growth
Each insight includes a brief explanation of how the candidate demonstrated that trait in their responses.
Candidate shorts
The Candidate shorts section shows key moments from the candidate's video responses with AI analysis. This section includes:
Video player showing the candidate's recorded responses
Timestamped transcript of key moments organized by topic
Topic labels like "Career Alignment" or "Team Contribution" that identify what each clip addresses
"Why this matters" explanations for each highlighted moment
Click any timestamp in the transcript to jump directly to that moment in the video.
Use the Hide transcript button to view the video in full screen, or click Download to save the video for offline viewing.
Note: If you didn't enable video recording for your job, the Candidate shorts section won't appear.
Quick actions
At the top of the Overview tab, you'll find buttons to Advance, On Hold, or Reject the candidate. You can also add star ratings, create a shareable link, and leave notes for your team.
Profile tab
The Profile tab shows basic candidate information and qualification results.
Contact details including email and phone number
Qualification Requirements section showing answers to your qualification questions
Pass/fail indicators for each qualification requirement
Note: Truffle automatically flags whether candidates meet your must-have criteria.
Failed qualifications are clearly marked in red to help you quickly spot candidates who don't meet your requirements.
Resume tab
The Resume tab displays the candidate's uploaded resume.

Screening tab
The Screening tab shows detailed responses to your interview questions.
