For new employers who just want a working interview live as fast as possible.
The fastest way to a live position is to paste your job description, let Truffle's AI generate the interview questions, and click activate. Every optional step (assessments, branding, qualification checks, fine-tuned response config) can be added later by editing the position. Target: under 10 minutes from sign-in to share link.
The fast path, end to end
Follow these four steps and skip anything that isn't required. You can always come back and add more.
Set up. In the sidebar, click Positions, then + Create position. Enter a Position title and paste your Position description. Skip the optional fields (department, employment type, location) for now. Click Next.
Build. Check Video Interview. Leave assessments and qualification checks off for your first run; you can add them later. Click Next: Configure interview.
Configure. Expand the Video Interview section. Truffle's AI has already suggested questions based on your job description. Accept them as-is for now, or swap one or two if something feels off. Default response settings (thinking time, time limit, one retake) are fine for most roles. Click Next: Review.
Review and activate. Skim the summary, then click Activate interview. Truffle generates a share link. That's your live position.
What you're intentionally skipping
These are useful but not required for v1. Come back and add them once your first candidates are through:

After you activate
Your position is live immediately. The next steps are getting candidates in and reviewing them.
Invite candidates. Send the share link directly, post it on job boards, or upload a CSV. See How do I invite candidates to my position?.
