For employers reviewing a queue of candidates quickly.
Magic Review is Truffle's side-by-side candidate review view. Open it by switching the candidate list to Grid view, then clicking any candidate. The profile opens in a side panel on the right, with the candidate list still visible on the left. Use A to advance, H to hold, R to reject, and arrow keys to move through the queue.
How to open Magic Review
To open Magic Review, switch the candidate list to Grid view and click a candidate. The URL stays on /candidates. The profile opens in a side panel, not a new page, so you never lose your place.
In the sidebar, open Positions and click the position whose candidates you want to review.
In the filter bar, click the Grid view toggle (the grid icon to the right of the status tabs).
Click any candidate in the list.
Keyboard shortcuts
The action bar at the bottom shows every shortcut. You don't need to leave the keyboard to move through a queue.
A. Advance
H. Hold (review later)
R. Reject
Up / Down arrows. Move to the previous or next candidate
Each disposition advances you automatically to the next candidate. Target: about 30 seconds per first-pass decision.

The bar at the bottom of the side panel also includes:
Notes. Add a note for your team without leaving the panel.
Full Profile. Open the candidate in the full-page profile. Use this when you want to watch a complete video response, read the full transcript, or dig into the Assessments tab.
Your review status appears in the bar too. For example "Awaiting your review". So you always know whether you've weighed in.

Each row in the candidate list on the left shows where the team stands.
Awaiting your review. You haven't submitted your review yet.
Team review count. For example, "2 of 3 reviewed".
This lets you see who still needs your input without clicking into each candidate.
When to open the full profile instead
Magic Review is optimized for fast triage. Switch to Full Profile when you want to:
Watch a complete video response
Read the full interview transcript
See the full Assessments tab breakdown for Personality, Work Scenarios, or Environment Fit
Compare side-by-side with your team's notes and scorecard ratings
When you come back from Full Profile, Magic Review restores your place in the queue.
