For employers and reviewers evaluating candidates as a team.
Truffle's review system lets each team member evaluate candidates independently. You submit your own star rating, recommendation (Move forward, Unsure, or Decline), and optional scorecard scores in the evaluation panel on the right side of the candidate profile. Before seeing what anyone else thinks. That's blind review: it keeps each person's evaluation independent until everyone has weighed in.
How to submit a review
To submit a review, open a candidate from a position's candidate list and use the evaluation panel on the right side of the profile.
Open the position and click the candidate.
In the Your Evaluation section on the right, set your star rating (1 to 5 stars).
Select a recommendation: Move forward, Unsure, or Decline.
If a scorecard is configured for the position, rate each criterion.
Your review saves automatically as you fill it in.
Once you submit, the Team section unlocks and shows what your teammates submitted.
What's in the evaluation panel
The evaluation panel on the right of the candidate profile has three sections.
Your Evaluation. Your individual star rating, recommendation, and scorecard ratings. Every reviewer's rating is their own; teammates can't overwrite yours.
Team. Locked until you submit your own review. Once unlocked, it shows the team's recommendation distribution, average star rating, per-criterion averages, and each reviewer's individual submission.
Notes. Internal notes shared with the team. Separate from reviews; use these for questions, context, or observations.
Setting up the scorecard
Scorecards let you define custom criteria for a position so every reviewer rates candidates against the same dimensions. Setup lives in the position's Settings → Reviews & scoring tab. The criteria lock once the first reviewer submits ratings, so align with the team before reviews start.

FAQs
Can I change my review after submitting?
Yes. Your star rating and recommendation can be updated at any time. Scorecard criterion ratings lock once submitted.
Do I need a scorecard to use reviews?
No. Scorecards are optional. You can submit a star rating and recommendation without a scorecard configured.
Can viewers submit reviews?
No. Only Members, Admins, and Owners can submit reviews. Viewers can see candidates but can't rate them.
What if I don't review a candidate?
Your status shows as "Awaiting your review" in the candidate list. Your teammates' reviews still count. Blind-review gating only blocks you from seeing the team's reviews until you submit your own.
