Why can't I sign up?

Most sign-up problems come from a security check, a temporary email address, an existing account, or the password rules.

If you can't complete sign-up at hiretruffle.com, it is almost always one of a few checks: a security step that needs to finish, an email address the form won't accept, an account that already exists, or a password that doesn't meet the rules. Each one shows a message on the form. This article explains what each message means and what to do. If none of them fit, contact support at the end.



The security check won't complete

Truffle runs a background bot-check (Cloudflare Turnstile) on the sign-up form. For most people it passes automatically and you never see it. Sometimes it needs an extra step or fails to load.

  • You see a checkbox or challenge above the button. The check needs a quick confirmation. Complete it, then click Complete signup.

  • You see "Couldn't load the security check. Please refresh the page and try again." The check couldn't load, often because a browser extension or a corporate network blocked it. Refresh the page. If it keeps failing, try a different browser, an incognito or private window, or a different network.

  • You see "Couldn't verify your request. Please refresh and try again." The check didn't pass. Refresh the page and complete sign-up again.



My email address isn't accepted

Truffle asks for a work email and rejects temporary or throwaway email addresses. If your address is from a disposable or temporary email service, the form shows "Please use a valid work email address."

Enter your normal work or business email instead. Standard personal providers are accepted; the block is specific to known temporary and throwaway mail domains.

Tip: Using your work email also makes it easier to invite teammates from the same company domain later.



I already have an account

If you enter an email that is already registered, the form shows "This email is already registered. Would you like to log in instead?"

  • If the account is yours, use log in and sign in with your password, Google, or a one-time email code.

  • If you don't remember signing up, use the password reset on the sign-in page.

  • If a teammate created the account, ask them to invite you so you join the same workspace instead of starting a new one.



My password is rejected

Sign-up passwords must meet four rules. The form shows a live checklist as you type:

  • At least 8 characters

  • One uppercase letter

  • One lowercase letter

  • One number

Adjust your password until all four are met. You can also register with Google or a one-time email code instead of setting a password.



Other things the form checks

A few fields are required before you can finish:

  • Name — first and last name, letters only.

  • Phone number — 7 to 20 characters; digits, spaces, and the symbols plus, hyphen, and parentheses are allowed.

  • Company name — at least 3 characters.

  • Email format — a complete, valid email address.



Verify your email before you subscribe

You can create your account and start your free trial right away. To pick a paid plan and add a payment method, confirm your email first. If your email isn't verified yet, Truffle prompts you to "Verify your email to subscribe" and can resend the verification link. Open the link, then return to Truffle to continue.
