What if I get disconnected or need to pause my interview?

Don't worry — your progress is saved. If you lose connection, close the tab, or choose Finish later, your completed answers are kept. Reopen the same link and use the same email to pick up where you left off.

For candidates who lost connection, closed the tab, or need to step away mid-interview.


If your internet drops, your browser closes, or you simply need to stop, your progress is saved — you won't lose the answers you've already completed. The interview is built to let you pause and resume, so a hiccup doesn't mean starting over.


How to get back in

  1. Reopen the same interview link from your invitation email.

  2. Sign back in with the same email address you started with.

  3. You'll return to where you left off — completed answers are kept, and you continue from the next step.


Using the same link and the same email is the key — that's how the interview finds your saved progress.


What gets saved

  • Answers you've already completed are saved as you go.

  • Assessment progress (personality, work scenarios, and similar) is kept.

  • When you return, you continue from the next step, not from the beginning.


If you were partway through recording a single question when the connection dropped, that one answer may not be saved — you may need to record that question again. Everything you'd already completed before it stays intact.


Pausing on purpose

If you need to step away, you don't have to wait for a disconnect — use Finish later at any point. You'll see a quick confirmation that your answers are saved and that you can resume with the same link and email. This is also the cleanest way to switch devices or move to a quieter spot mid-interview.


If you can't get back in

If you reopen the link and don't see your progress:


  • Double-check you're using the same email address you started with.

  • Make sure you're opening the original link from the employer's email, not a new one.

  • Try the same supported browser you started in, and disable VPNs or strict privacy extensions.

  • If it still won't resume, reach us via the chat icon on the page with your email and the employer's name, and we'll help.
