For candidates wondering what they'll be asked to complete.
Truffle gives employers a set of building blocks, and each employer chooses which ones to include — so there's no single "Truffle interview." Yours might be a video interview, one or more assessments, a few qualifying questions, or a mix. You'll always see what's included as you go, and you can pause and finish later at any point.
Video interview
If your screening includes a video interview, you'll answer a set of questions by recording yourself — usually on video, though some employers use audio only. Each question is presented one at a time, and the employer decides:
How many questions you'll answer.
How much thinking time you get before recording starts.
The time limit for each answer (shown on screen).
Whether you can retake an answer, and how many times.
There's no fixed number of questions or length — it varies by role. For how this works in detail, see What are the time limits, and can I retake or pause my interview?.
Assessments
Some employers add one or more short assessments. You might see any of these:
Personality — a series of statements you rate based on how well they describe you. Depending on the employer, this is a shorter version (around 20 statements) or a longer one (around 50).
Work scenarios — realistic workplace situations where you rank possible responses from best to worst fit. There's no single right answer; it's about how you'd approach things.
Environment fit — questions about the kind of work environment and conditions you prefer.
Assessments aren't timed the way video answers are — take a moment to answer honestly. There are no trick questions, and answering truthfully gives the best picture of fit.
Qualifying questions
Your screening may start with a few qualifying questions — short questions an employer uses to confirm role basics, such as your work authorization, a required certification, or years of experience. You answer these one at a time before the rest of the screening.
If a role has a hard requirement you don't meet, you may see a message letting you know you don't qualify for that particular role. That decision is set by the employer, not by Truffle.
You'll see what applies as you go
You don't need to figure out your screening in advance — the flow guides you through each part that the employer included, and shows your progress along the way. If you're unsure about something specific to the role, the employer is the best contact.
