For candidates about to start a Truffle interview and wanting to feel prepared.
We want your interview to feel natural and stress-free. Everything runs in your browser — there's nothing to download — and you can warm up with a practice question before anything counts. Here's how to set yourself up for a smooth run.
Access your interview
You access your Truffle interview from your email invitation — no apps or downloads, and it works on both desktop and mobile.
Use Chrome or Safari for the best experience.
Make sure your internet connection is stable (at least 5 Mbps up and down).
Close other tabs and apps so your device has room to work.
Allow access to your camera and microphone when your browser asks.
What your interview may include
Every employer builds their screening differently, so yours may include a video interview, one or more assessments, qualifying questions, or a combination. You'll see exactly what's included as you go.
For a breakdown of each part, see What's included in my Truffle screening?.
Warm up with the practice question
Before any of your answers count, you'll usually get a practice question to try. Use it to:
Test your audio, lighting, and camera position.
Make sure you're centered and well-lit.
Get familiar with how recording works.
The practice question is just for you — nothing here is recorded for the employer.
Pause and finish later if you need to
Life happens. You can stop at any point with Finish later, and your progress is saved. To pick up where you left off, reopen the same interview link and use the same email address.
We recommend doing your interview in one quiet sitting when you can, but the option to pause is always there. For more, see What are the time limits, and can I retake or pause my interview?.
Tips to look your best on camera
Set the scene — choose a quiet, well-lit space with a tidy background.
Stay steady — if you're on a phone, prop it on a stable surface at eye level.
Be present — look into the camera, not at the screen, for natural eye contact.
Take a breath — use your thinking time to relax and plan what you want to say.
