For employers wanting to show a hiring manager, executive, or prospect what the platform feels like.
You have three ways to show someone Truffle, depending on how much of a real-world view they need. The demo interview on your dashboard is fastest (5 minutes, no setup). The Preview flow on a live position shows your exact questions and branding. Duplicating a position into a sandbox and inviting them as a candidate is the most complete demo. They get the real candidate experience end-to-end, including a profile you can show them afterward.
Option 1. Send them the demo interview
Fastest path. Truffle has a built-in 2-question grocery-store-customer-service demo that anyone with a Truffle account can take from their dashboard.
Good for. Decision-makers who just want to feel the platform before committing.
How. Have them sign up for a free trial. On their dashboard, the Experience a Demo Interview section is the entry point. No position needed.
Limitations. They see a generic demo, not your specific role. Assessments aren't part of the demo.
Option 2. Send them the Preview link of your position
Shows your exact questions, branding, and assessments. But doesn't create a real candidate record.
Good for. Hiring managers signing off on the question set and candidate experience before you go live.
How. On Step 4: Review and activate, click Preview interview. The preview page gives you a private link. Send it to your stakeholder.
Limitations. Preview is designed to be a QA pass, not a review experience. Their response doesn't create a candidate profile. If your stakeholder wants to see the employer-side review experience too, use Option 3.
Option 3. Duplicate into a sandbox position and invite them as a candidate
Most complete option. Give them the full end-to-end experience including a real candidate profile they (and you) can review afterward.
Good for. Prospects or internal execs who want to see both sides. "what the candidate sees" AND "what you see when reviewing them."
How —
1. Duplicate your real position. See How do I duplicate a position?. 2. Rename it "\[Role\] — Demo" so it's clearly not your active posting. 3. Invite the stakeholder to the duplicate using their email. 4. They complete it as if they were a real candidate. 5. Open their profile to show them what reviewers see. AI summary, match %, candidate shorts, transcripts, assessment results, and the Magic Review flow. 6. When the demo is done, close the sandbox position. Their profile stays visible for reference.
This is the option sales teams and hiring-manager advocates use when they want someone to actually get the product, not just hear about it. It takes 15–20 minutes of the stakeholder's time but it's the closest thing to a full trial.
If the stakeholder won't create an account
All three options above require the stakeholder to sign in to Truffle (as an employer for Option 2, as a candidate via their email for Options 1 and 3). If they won't or can't create an account, the fallback is to share a real candidate profile with them. It's a read-only view of an actual completed interview.
