For employers collecting feedback on a candidate from a stakeholder who doesn't have a Truffle account.
To share a candidate with someone outside Truffle, open the candidate's profile, click Share, and generate a link. The link is read-only and shows the AI summary, candidate shorts, match percentage, qualification results, and video responses. Contact info and the resume stay hidden. You can add an optional password. Every shared link expires after 75 days.
How to generate a share link
To generate a shareable link, open the candidate profile and use the Share action.
Open the candidate's profile (from the candidate list, or via Magic Review → Full Profile).
Click Share in the top right of the profile.
Optionally set a password in the share dialog. Add one if the candidate is for a sensitive role or the recipient will forward the link.
Click Generate link and copy the URL.
Send the link over email, Slack, or any channel you prefer. Anyone with the link (and the password, if you set one) can open the profile. No Truffle account required.
What the recipient sees
The shared link is read-only. The recipient sees a trimmed version of the profile designed for feedback, not further action.
Included. Your company's branding, the candidate's name, AI summary, key insights, match percentage, qualification results, video responses with transcripts, and candidate shorts.
Hidden. Contact information (email, phone), resume, and internal team notes and ratings.
Not editable. The recipient can watch, read, and scroll. They can't leave ratings, notes, or change status.
This keeps private candidate data protected and stops external reviewers from seeing internal debate.
Link expiration and security
Every share link expires automatically after 75 days. Password-protected links add a second layer. The recipient enters the password before the profile loads.
If you need to revoke access sooner, regenerate the link from the Share dialog. The old link stops working as soon as a new one is generated.
When to share vs. invite as a teammate
Share links are for one-off feedback from stakeholders who shouldn't have ongoing access. If the person will review more than one candidate or participate in multiple positions, invite them as a teammate instead. It gives them a proper account, review controls, and audit trail.
Share link. External stakeholder, single candidate, quick read-only feedback.
Invite teammate. Ongoing reviewer, multiple candidates or positions. See How do I invite teammates to Truffle?.
