For employers setting up a new position based on an existing one.
If you're hiring for multiple similar roles. Two Account Executives, three Customer Success Managers. Duplicating an existing position is faster than rebuilding from scratch. To duplicate: open the Positions list, click the three-dot menu on the position you want to copy, and pick Duplicate. The duplicate opens immediately in the Create Interview wizard where you can tweak anything before activating.
How to duplicate a position
To duplicate a position, use the three-dot menu in the Positions list.
In the sidebar, click Positions.
Find the position you want to duplicate.
Click the three-dot menu on that position's row.
Select Duplicate.
The new position opens in the Create Interview wizard with all settings pre-filled.
Edit the title and anything else you want changed.
Click Activate interview to publish the duplicate.
The original position is unchanged. The duplicate gets a new unique share link and starts with zero candidates.
What gets copied
The duplicate inherits almost everything from the original. So you only change what's actually different about the new role.
Title and description (you'll usually want to edit the title)
Optional details (department, employment type, location)
Interview questions including per-question video prompts
Response configuration (thinking time, retakes, time limits, format)
Qualification checks if enabled
Assessments configuration if enabled (Personality trait preferences, Work Scenarios selections, Environment Fit answers)
AI personalization (the two intake answers)
Branding customizations (logo, color, welcome message, completion message, redirect URL)
What doesn't get copied
Anything candidate-specific or URL-specific starts fresh.
Candidates. The duplicate has no candidates. You invite people separately.
Share link. The duplicate gets its own unique share link.
Status. The duplicate starts as a draft in the wizard, not activated.
Team assignments. Any per-position teammate or team access has to be re-added on the duplicate.
Integrations / webhooks. Per-position webhook configurations don't carry over.
When you can't duplicate
Duplication is disabled in two cases:
The source position is archived. Unarchive it first, or duplicate from a non-archived similar position.
You're a Viewer or Reviewer on the source position. You need Collaborator, Job Owner, Admin, or Owner permissions to duplicate.
