A one-way video interview is the component where candidates record video (or audio-only) responses to your questions on their own time. No live session required. To add it to a position, toggle on Video interview on the Build the screen step of position setup. Once it's on, you configure two things: response settings inline on the same card, and questions on the Configure screening step.
How to turn on the video interview
To enable a video interview for a position, turn on the Video interview card on the Build the screen step.
Open the position (from the Positions list → + Create position, or Edit Position on an existing one).
On the Build the screen step, make sure Video interview is toggled on.
Click Next: Configure screening.
The Video interview card on the Build the screen step is where you set response settings. Questions are added on the next step.
Two things to configure
Video Interview setup has two parts, split across two steps. Each has its own article.
Response settings. Thinking time, response time limit, retake limit, video vs audio-only format. Configured on the Build the screen step, inside the Video interview card. See How do I configure response settings?.
Questions. Add questions from Truffle's catalog, write your own, or use AI-suggested questions. Up to 10 per position. Configured on the Configure screening step. See How do I add and manage interview questions?.
