For employers adding a one-way video interview to a position.
A one-way video interview is the component where candidates record video (or audio-only) responses to your questions on their own time. No live session required. To add it to a position, toggle on Video Interview on Step 2 of the Create Interview wizard. Once it's on, Step 3 gives you two things to configure: the questions candidates answer, and the response settings that control how they record.
How to turn on the video interview
To enable a video interview for a position, check the Video Interview box on Step 2 of the wizard.
Open the position in the Create Interview wizard (from the Positions list → + Create position, or Edit Position on an existing one).
On Step 2: Build interview, make sure Video Interview is toggled on.
Click Next: Configure interview.
On Step 3, the Video Interview section is where the rest of the setup happens.
Two things to configure on Step 3
The Video Interview section on Step 3 has two parts. Each has its own article.
Questions. Add questions from Truffle's catalog, write your own, or use AI-suggested questions. Up to 10 per position. See How do I add and manage interview questions?.
Response settings. Thinking time, response time limit, retake limit, video vs audio-only format. See How do I configure response settings?.
