For employers nudging candidates who've started an interview but haven't finished.
Candidates who start their Truffle interview but don't finish automatically receive reminders at 24 hours and 72 hours after they began. You can also send a manual reminder at any time from the candidate's profile. Manual reminders have a 24-hour cooldown between sends to prevent duplicate emails.
Automatic reminders
Truffle sends two automatic reminder emails after a candidate starts their interview without finishing.
24-hour reminder. Sent 24 hours after the candidate started. Usually enough to bring most people back.
72-hour reminder. Sent 72 hours after they started. Last automated nudge.
Both are on by default. Turn them off per position in Settings → Candidate emails & reminders. See What emails does Truffle send to candidates?.
How to send a manual reminder
When automatic reminders haven't done the job. Or when you want to reach out sooner. You can send a manual one from the candidate's profile.
Open the position and find the candidate on the Incomplete tab.
Click the candidate to open their profile.
Click Send reminder.
The candidate receives an email immediately. The Send reminder button greys out for 24 hours after each manual send to prevent duplicates.
Why the button is greyed out
The Send reminder button is disabled for 24 hours after each manual reminder. This protects candidates from receiving multiple reminder emails in a short window (for example, if two reviewers on your team independently decide to nudge the same candidate).
The cooldown is per candidate per position. It doesn't affect the automatic 24h / 72h reminders. Those still fire on their schedule.
When reminders won't help
Reminders only go to candidates who started the interview. Candidates who received an invite but never clicked in can't be reminded through this flow; send them a fresh invite instead.
