For employers adding Work Scenarios to a position.
Work Scenarios is an optional assessment where candidates rank how they'd approach real workplace situations. Turn it on in Step 2 of interview creation; configure the scenarios and your preferred approach in Step 3. To add it to a position: open Positions → the position you want to edit → Step 2: Build interview → toggle on Assessments and check Work Scenarios → Next: Configure interview.
How to enable Work Scenarios on a position
To enable Work Scenarios for a position, open the position in the Create Interview wizard and check the Work Scenarios box on the Build step.
In the sidebar, open Positions and click + Create position, or open an existing position you want to edit.
On Step 2: Build interview, toggle on the Assessments card.
Check the Work Scenarios box.
Click Next: Configure interview.
How to configure the scenarios
Configuring Work Scenarios means reviewing the six scenarios Truffle's AI pre-selected for your role, picking the response approach that best fits what you're looking for, and swapping or adding scenarios as needed.
Truffle's AI pre-selects six scenarios based on your job details and picks a default preferred approach for each. Your job is to review and adjust.
On Step 3: Configure interview, open the Work Scenarios section.
Expand a scenario. You'll see the situation and four response approaches, with an AI suggested badge on the AI's pick.
Keep the AI's pick if it matches what great looks like for your role. Otherwise, select a different approach. The AI suggested badge stays on the original so you can see what was changed.
Repeat for each scenario.
You can swap a scenario for a different one from the library, add new scenarios up to a maximum of ten, or remove scenarios down to a minimum of three. Swapped or added scenarios don't carry an AI suggestion, so you'll need to pick the preferred approach yourself. A Needs selection badge flags any scenario that's still waiting on your input.
What candidates experience
Candidates see a short intro, then rank the four response options in each scenario from best to worst fit. The flow is the same on mobile and desktop.
Candidates do not see the approach labels you picked or which option you preferred. They only see the full response text for each option, and they must rank all four options before moving on.
Where to see results
Results live in two places on the candidate profile: a compact Work Scenarios card on the Overview tab (and Magic Review), and a full scenario-by-scenario breakdown on the Assessments tab.
The summary line uses risk framing (for example, "Aligned on 5 of 6 scenarios"), matching what the Magic Review card shows. Work Scenarios is an independent signal and is never combined with the video match score. Use it to inform your conversations, not replace them.
