Every position can have an optional expiry date. When the deadline passes, the position stops accepting new submissions, switches to an Expired status, and shows candidates who try to access the link an expired page.
How to set a deadline
Open the position you want to add a deadline to.
Go to the Deadline picker, available in job creation and in job settings.
Pick a date and timezone. Truffle uses your system timezone by default.
Save.
The deadline shows on the position header, on the job list, and on the candidate-facing landing page.
What happens at the deadline
New candidates can't start the interview from the share link.
Direct invitees can't begin a new submission.
The position status flips to Expired.
An Expired badge appears on the position list and header.
The position still shows in the All-statuses filter.
Reopen or extend
You can extend the deadline or reopen an expired position. From the position settings, change the deadline date or remove it. The Expired status updates and the position resumes accepting candidates.
Things to know
The deadline is enforced across the candidate flow, the invite flow, and any patches to the position.
Truffle uses IANA timezone names so daylight savings is handled correctly.
