Truffle video interviews work on most modern devices with no special equipment or downloads. You'll need a device with a camera and microphone, a supported browser, and a stable internet connection. This article lists the devices, browsers, and speeds that work best.
What you'll need
A phone, tablet, or computer with a camera
A built-in or external microphone
An internet connection of at least 5 Mbps upload and download

Recommended browsers
For the most reliable experience — especially for the video interview — use the latest version of Google Chrome or Safari. Chrome works well on every device.
Microsoft Edge and Mozilla Firefox may work, but they're less reliable for video recording. If you run into camera, microphone, or recording trouble in Edge or Firefox, switch to Chrome or Safari.

Internet connection requirements
A stable connection is essential for completing your interview without interruptions. The minimums are:
Upload speed: at least 5 Mbps
Download speed: at least 5 Mbps
Both upload and download must meet the minimum. If your connection is slower than 5 Mbps, find an alternative before starting.
How to test your internet speed
Visit a speed-test site such as speedtest.net.
Click Go or Start Test.
Confirm both upload and download are at least 5 Mbps.
If speeds are too slow, move closer to your router or switch networks.
If your device isn't listed
If your specific device or operating system isn't above, you can still try Truffle in a supported browser. As long as you're using one of the recommended browsers in its latest version, the interview should work.
Where to find a suitable device
If you don't have a compatible device, consider:
Public libraries, which often provide computers with internet access
Schools or universities with computer labs
Internet cafes that rent computers by the hour
A friend or family member who can lend a device
Book time in advance at public facilities — availability can be limited at peak hours.
If your browser isn't working
If you have trouble with your current browser:
Clear your browser cache and cookies.
Disable browser extensions temporarily.
Try Google Chrome in incognito/private mode.
Switch to a different supported browser.
