We want your interview experience to feel natural and stress-free. Before you get started, here are a few tips to help you feel confident and set up for success.
1. Access your interview
You can access your Truffle interview from the email invite — no apps or downloads required. It works on both desktop and mobile.
Use Chrome or Safari for the best experience
Make sure your internet speed is at least 5 Mbps upload/download
Close all other tabs and applications for best performance
Allow access to your camera and microphone when prompted
💡 If you run into trouble, check our Troubleshooting Guide or reach out via live chat (bottom-right of any Truffle page).
2. Time limits and retakes
Once you start the first question, you’ll have 12 hours to complete the full interview.
Most questions have a 1–5 minute time limit.
Some questions may allow retakes, while others are single-shot only — it depends on the interview setup.
If retakes are available, you'll see a Re-record button. Once they’re used up, we’ll let you know before you move on.
3. Practice before you begin
You’ll have the option to practice with a sample question before recording your real answers.
This is a great time to:
Test your audio and lighting
Make sure you’re centered on screen
Get familiar with how recording works
You can practice as many times as you like — this part is just for you.
4. Recording your answers
When you're ready, hit Start Interview. For each question:
You'll see the question first
Your thinking time begins — this could range from 30 seconds to unlimited, depending on the role
After prep time ends, recording starts automatically
You’ll always see how much time you have to answer — and you can stop the recording early if you’re done.
When you're happy, click Save & Continue and your response will upload securely.
5. Final review and submission
After answering all questions, you may be able to review and replay your answers one last time before submitting. (Not all interviews allow reviews.)
Once submitted, you’ll see a confirmation screen and receive a confirmation email for your records.
⚠️ Safety reminders
Never share personal or financial information (e.g., bank details, SSN, passwords) in any interview.
If something feels off, reach out to us right away through our chat.
🚀 Pro tips to shine on camera
Set the scene: Choose a quiet, well-lit space. Keep your background tidy.
Stay steady: If using a mobile device, place it on a stable surface at eye level.
Be present: Look into the camera, not the screen, for better eye contact.
Take a breath: Use your thinking time to relax and plan what you want to say.
You’ve got this — good luck!
