Quick answer
Only a completed interview counts toward the interview limit on your subscription. Invites, drafts, and partially answered interviews are all free until the candidate hits Submit on the final question.
What counts as a completed interview
Candidate answers every required question
Final response uploads successfully
Truffle displays the completion screen and generates the AI summary
Each finished session adds 1 to the interview total you see under Billing & subscription → Current usage.
What doesn’t count
Unopened invites
Candidates who start but exit before finishing
Re‑records or retries inside the same interview
Internal test runs in preview mode
How to monitor usage
Go to Settings → Billing & subscription
Check the Candidates bar—each filled segment equals one completed interview
